As the pooling date for the Nimba senatorial by- election draw closer, female Candidate Edith Gongloe-Weh and her entourage stormed Gompa after a weeklong political campaign in the county.
Speaking to citizens at Gompa main street, Madam Weh disclosed that her reason to contest the election is designed to promote the health sector, youth empowerment, women empowerment, promote farm to market road in the county.
According to Weh, Nimba law makers comprised of 11 men with no female representation in term of making political decision for the county.
” Edith Gongloe Weh is the only female Candidate in the race, please vote for me on April 22, 2025, to deliver the county from the hands of UP Candidate that has failed the county and people for so long,” madam Weh revealed.
Since the beginning of March 2025, by – election campaign has taken over the entire nine political districts and the seven hundred and fifteen towns.
Speaking to citizens on April 15, 2025 in Tappita, Representative Darwan Gleekia, called on the residents in Lower Nimba to vote right by choosing and electing representative Samuel Kogar.
Speaking in the same Tappita, senatorial candidate Mack Gblinwon, further called on all residents to vote him and forget about tribal politics, on grounds that he is being sponsored by Representative Musa Bility of the Mandingo ethnic group.
“I Representative Samuel Kogar is among the most experience law makers that is able to deliver and defend the county in all circumstances like the late Senator Johnson,” Representative Kogar boasted.
“I am a lawyer and former representative, if elected, I will make sure that I put on the floor document that created war and economics crime court review, “senatorial Candidate Cllr. Garrison Yealue said.
