President Joseph Boakai has congratulated Mark Carney, Prime Minister-Elect of the Republic of Canada, on his ascendency as Prime Minister of that country.
According to a Foreign Ministry release, in his congratulatory message to the new Canadian Prime Minister, President Boakai, on behalf of the Government and People of Liberia and in his own name extended warmest congratulations and best wishes to Prime Minister-Elect Carney for his preferment and added that the people of Canada will continue to enjoy the blessings of peace, unity and prosperity under his leadership.
President Boakai said he looks forward to working with the new Canadian leader in the interest of mutual partnership, solidarity and global peace.
