Trudue Public School in Grand Bassa District 4, is facing severe challenges due to inadequate learning facility.
Raising concerns about the future of its students, principal Isaac Doegar expressed deep concerns over the school’s deteriorating infrastructure, lack of essential resources, and overall poor learning environment, which he said are significantly hindering students’ academic performance.
Despite efforts by the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) to support the school, Doegar insists that the burden of maintaining a conducive learning environment should not fall solely on the local community.
He is urging the government to take greater responsibility in addressing the pressing issues affecting the institution.
“The PTA has been doing its best, but there is only so much they can do with their limited resources. We need urgent government intervention to improve the school’s infrastructure and provide necessary learning materials,” Doegar stated.
Teachers and parents have echoed similar concerns, noting that without adequate funding and support, students are at risk of falling behind academically.
Many classrooms at Trudue Public School reportedly lack proper furniture, learning materials, and in some cases, even basic sanitary facilities.
This, educators warned, creates an unconducive environment for effective teaching and learning.
Community members are now rallying behind Doegar’s call, hoping that the government will step in to provide the much-needed support.
They argued that investing in education is crucial for the district’s long-term development and for ensuring that children have a fair chance at a brighter future.
As the calls for intervention grow louder, it remains to be seen whether authorities will respond with concrete actions to address the plight of Trudue Public School and its students.
