Dr. Victor Sumo Appointed As CARI’s New Boss …As Paulette E. Findley Resigns

President George Manneh Weah has named Dr. Victor Harry Sumo as the new Officer-in-Charge (OIC) of the Central Agricultural Research Institute (CARI), following the resignation of Paulette E. Findley.
The embattled OIC, Findley, who has been in the position since June 29, 2019, tendered her resignation on Monday, August 10 with the believe that she it was time that she moved on having completed the task assigned her to set up a framework for a more sustainable development at the Institute.
She thanked President Weah for affording her the rare opportunity to serve her country in the capacity of the Officer-In-Charge and reaffirmed her confidence in the President and the Government to steer the country to higher heights.
Meanwhile, President Weah has accepted her resignation. CARI is an autonomous agency of Government established to conduct research for the development, promotion and dissemination of improved agricultural technologies for enhanced and increased food production in Liberia.
