Alhaji Bobo Barrie Arabic and English Elementary School in Ganta is appealing to government and education partners to extend their services to the school.
Speaking to this paper in Ganta, Principal Abdullah Barrie explained that the school was opened to cater to many of the Muslim school going children in the county, catering to more than 100 school going children in Ganta, Nimba County.
“This school teaches both Arabic and English, but some of the students are only interested in learning Arabic,” the Principal disclosed.
Principal Abdullah Barrie added that many of the students are kids, that if nothing is done in feeding them, they might stop coming to school.
Since the recapture of Ganta from the defunct LURD rebels in 2003 by the government forces, under the regime of former President Taylor, this is the second Arabic school to be opened in Bain-Garr Education District 1 in Ganta, Nimba County.
During a normal routine on the school campus over the weekend, many kids were seen sitting in the class, writing notes in Arabic.
Speaking on behalf of the Muslim Community in Ganta, Mohamed Diallo said that the opening of the Arabic school will put a stop to sending children all the way to Guinea to attend Arabic school.
