“We have come to you to pledge our commitment and to inform you that we are crossing over to you with loyalty, with love and commitment. Your President will be our President; your political party will be our political party.”
Directing their comments to President George Weah’s Chief of Office Staff, Wesseh Blamoh, the group said joining the President’s reelection bid has become imperative considering what he has done over the years and continues to do in the interest of citizens.
“We will follow you wherever you go,” Madam Joyce Gbondin who served Liberty Party as National Co-chair for the Women Congress told Bishop Blamoh and injected, “I am no longer member of Liberty Party; Musa Bility will not call me again, but I don’t mind and we don’t mind.”
Saturday witnessed first-time voters and former opposition partisans, under the banner, “”Friends of Minister G. Wesseh Blamoh for President George Weah Reelection” blended their voices in calling on all Liberians to give President Weah.
The group which converged in the GSA Community at the Living Word International Church owned by Bishop Blamoh outlined President Weah’s progressive development undertakings that have advanced and promoted the education of the young people through the payment of WAEC fees.
“We have decided to pledge our support to the President through you because we believe in his ability to reconcile the Liberian people,” Madam Gbondin who presently serves as National Coordinator for the Friends of G.Wesseh Blamoh for Weah 2023 stated.
The group thanked Blamoh for the opportunity afforded them to express their desire and to support the President’s bid for second term, reflecting on how they had been encouraged by the presidential CoS respect for mankind, openness and humility, willingness to listen and render assistance at all times.
They also presented a “Thompson Bible” to the Minister, urging him to use it wisely until President Weah is reelected.
The group was led by 17 chairpersons of the Liberty Party from Montserrado County headed by Madam Gbondin and Martha K. Thomas, along with their women coordinators from Bong, Nimba, Lofa, Grand Bassa, and Margibi Counties and a horde of first-time voters congregated Saturday, February 25 to demonstrate their willingness to campaign door-to-door for the reelection of the President.
Responding to the new supporters of the President’s reelection bid, Bishop Blamoh thanked them for the decision made in the interest of the country.
The Bishop said he was honored by the overwhelming support and the expression of support to the President, adding that he would convey their sentiments to the Liberian leader.
He admonished the group to go all out to every nook and corner to encourage other Liberians to the President’s support base and pledged to lend his support to the group, to ensure the realization of their aims and objectives.
Friends of Minister G. Wesseh Blamoh for President Weah Reelection was organized recently to complement nationwide efforts geared towards re-electing Weah as President.
