Weah Names Several In Gov’t

President George Manneh Weah has made additional appointments in government. The appointments affecting ministries, agencies and commissions as well as the University of Liberia (UL) take immediate effect though subject to confirmation by the Liberian Senate where applicable.

Those nominated are Edwin Juah, Assistant Minister /European Affairs; Esiaka Sheriff, Assistant Minister for Research, Planning & Development, Ministry of Internal Affairs;

George Gontor, Deputy Minister for Energy;

William T. Thompson II; Assistant Minister for Energy; Dr. George T. Forpoh Jr., Deputy Minister/Regional Development, Research & Extension and Tarplah Davies, Deputy Minister for Operations

Others are Varney Okai, Deputy Minister for Operations, Ministry of Post; Cllr. J Kennedy Peabody Resident judge Sixth Judicial Circuit, replacing Associate Justice Yusif Kabav and   Al Jerome Chede

   Minister Counselor for Press & Public, Liberian Embassy in Washington DC  t the Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission are Cllr.  Nbuduis Nwabudike, Chairman;

Kanio Bai Gbala,

Vice Chairperson and Charles Gibson, Commissioner

Members appointed to LIBTELCO Board are George Howe, Checago Bright-Sawo   and Cllr.  Alexandra Zoe                               

Madam Teetee Pailey, was named as Deputy Director General for Administration at the Civil Service Agency; Joseph T. Williams Executive Director, Rural Renewable Energy and Mariama M. Koon, Deputy Executive Director, Liberia Agency for Community Empowerment

At the Liberia Medicine & Health Products Regulatory Authority, Keturah Chupee Smith was appointed as Executive Director, whke at the Center for National Documents and Record Agency (CNDRA), Mr. Mr. Emmanuel Lomax,

was named as its    Director General; C. Neileh Daitauoh Director,  National Food Assistance Agency  and Henry Clarke  Deputy Managing Director/Operations,  National Housing Authority                                                

The president has also appointed Dr. Gonsahn Mattaldi, as member, Mittal Operating Company Board Representative to the Board; Cllr. Charles Gibson, Chairman, Liberia Electrical Corporation (LEC) Board and Randolph Cooper,

Chairman, Liberia Petroleum Refinery Company (LPRC); Richard Divine,

chairman, National Oil Company of Liberia Board(NOCAL) and Rev. Dr. Julius Sawolo Nelson,

president, University of Liberia.
