Weah Donates To Muslim Communities

President George M. Weah, has donated bags of rice and soup kinds to the Muslim communities through the Minister of Internal Affairs, Varney K. Sirleaf.
Addressing the press yesterday, Minister Sirleaf said that it has been a great thing that the President Weah continues to identify with the Muslim communities every Ramadan since 2018.
According to him, the total amount that was given to the Muslim communities in all of the 15 counties by the President is LD 5 million and 5, 000.
Breaking down the total bags of rice and soup kinds that will be given to the various counties he mentioned that Bomi County will be receiving 350 bags of rice and LD300, 000 for soup kinds, Bong county 300 bags of rice and LD250, 000 for soup kinds, Nimba county 400 bags of rice and LD300, 000 for soup kinds, Lofa county 500 bags of rice and LD500, 000 for soup kind, Grand Cape Mount County 300 bags of rice and LD300, 000 for soup kinds.
He continued that Margibi County will be receiving 200 bags of rice and LD200, 000 for soup kind, Gbarpolu County 150 bags of rice and LD200, 000 for soup kinds, Grand- Bassa County 100 bags of rice and LD 100, 000 for soup kinds, Rivercess County 100 bags of rice and LD 100, 000 for soup kinds, Grand-Gedeh County 100 bags of rice and LD100, 000 for soup kinds, Rivergee county 100 bags of rice and LD 100, 000 for soup kinds, Maryland County 100 bags of rice and LD 100, 000 for soup kinds, Grand-Kru county 100 bags of rice and LD100, 000 for soup kinds, Sineo County 100 bags of rice and LD100, 000 for soup kinds, Montserrado 3,100 bags of rice and three million one hundred thousand Liberia dollars for soup kinds.
According to him, Montserrado was given the largest share because it is the biggest among all the counties.
He added that the items will be given to the various superintendents in the counties and will be handed to the Muslim community leaderships who will do the final and sincere sharing to its members.
Minister Sirleaf is also appealing to the various superintendents not to just hand over the items to the leadership and turn their backs but to also supervise and make sure that the items are given to the beneficiaries.
However, he stated that the President is also appealing to all the citizens to register for the coming elections before the April 9, deadline in the phase 1 counties because their votes will speak for them.
Meanwhile, he congratulated the newly elected chairperson of the Muslim Council, Abraham Funbah Sheriff and his colleagues for having a peaceful election.
For her part, the superintendent for Bong County, Esther N Walker congratulated the President for always remembering the Muslims during their time of Ramadan.
“This has not been the only thing that the President is doing in the various counties especially Bong, he has been doing well by fixing our roads that are leading to Lofa County,” she said.
Superintendent Walker boasted that after 25 years, they now have stable electricity in Bong County which was turned over three weeks ago that hardly goes off and on like the one in Monrovia.
