The Liberia National police (LNP) is said to be conducting investigation leading to the mysterious death of an unidentified woman in the Dekehmehn Community in Ganta City, even though some residents are blaming the government for the death on grounds that it has failed to assign armed police at night for patrol.
The lady’s body was discovered lying in a creek over the weekend thus creating fear among residents of Nimba County.
Old Lady Beatrice Nyan, another victim, who is also living in the Dekehmehn Community, explained how fearful it is at night because there are no police to patrol in the various communities.
When contacted, LNP commander Adolphus Zuah identified the lady as a Guinean national and confirmed that the police is still investigating in order to get the true identity of her family so that they can take delivery of her body.
The deceased is said to have resided in Ganta for several years before her untimely death. Meanwhile, no arrests have been made in connection with the death.
