Transformed West Point Sports Pitch Dedicated

After transformation of the West Point Sports pitch that have been covered with sand since its existence, the Chief patron of sports, President George Manneh Weah, has dedicated a modern pitch with artificial turf to the community.
The community known for its fishing activities also has a convincing sporting population that over the period hosted the lower division league branded as the West Clara League.
West Point is also recognized for Beach Soccer performances which many believe is because by huge landmark covered by sand or the beach in the area.
Though the field over the years appeared to be sandy, it had been a physical field which has over the period showcase the talents of bright stars of Liberia.
The pitched has now been transformed to a mini artificial turf which is the first of its kind under the leadership of obviously the footballing President and Chief Patron of Sports George Weah.
The project is accordingly estimated at a cost US $399,000 and includes toilet, Change room, Office space, Solar lights, Night Game lights, Painting and Zinc Replacement for houses and Drainage including the installation of Artificial Turf.
The dedication ceremony was held Saturday May 20, 2023 and was graced by sports lovers and many other officials of government.
