Delegation Visits LACC

The Executive Chairperson of the Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission (LACC), Edwin Kla Martin, has assured the Commission’s full support to the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) towards achieving its Mutual Evaluation for Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing.
He said the LACC and the FIU has been collaborating on several fronts in the fight against corruption.
The LACC Executive Chairperson made the remarks when he received the visiting delegation from stakeholders Institution in Sierra Leone in support of the ongoing mutual evaluation of the FIU in Liberia.
He praised Sierra Leone for successfully passing the mutual evaluation and calls for Freetown’s support to Liberia in its upcoming evaluation.
The head of the Financial Intelligence Unit of Sierra Leone, David Dorbor, said his team is in Liberia to share Sierra Leone’s experience with their Liberian counterpart on the different strategies in passing the mutual evaluation.
The mutual evaluation is an International benchmark set to excess countries tolerance level to Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing.
