The Liberia National Police (LNP) in Nimba has hooked several persons said to be notorious criminals for alleged crimes in Ganta, Nimba County.
They have been accused of stealing cell phones and some huge sum of United States Dollars, as well as carrying out burglary, robbery in Grand Bassa, Bong and Nimba Counties, the Chief Investigator Redeemer Toe disclosed.
Officer Toe named some of the alleged criminals as Vincent Bonison, Saye Papa and Gabriel Wuo and noted that these alleged criminals have been carrying out criminal activities in some parts of the country.
He identified some as motorcyclists who have been robbing passengers, while some have been terrorizing various communities in the night in Bong and Nimba counties.
Meanwhile, Ganta City Mayor, Amos G. Suah, said crimes are on the rise due to the absence of armed police to patrol at night in the various communities to prevent criminal-relate acts.
