Round-Up In Upper Women’s League, Following Round Three Conclusion

Match day three of the 2023/2024 Liberia Football Association Upper Women’s Division produced good results for Shaita Angels, Earth Angels, Senior Female Pro, and Ambassadors FC, who all picked up wins in their respective league fixtures.

Ambassador Football Club comfortably defeated Just FC 2-0 to earn their first three points of the season.

The club finished in second position last season in the league and are ready to go all out this time.

Ambassadors FC fought hard to produce a brilliant performance to beat struggling Just FC at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium.

Uche Ngwaya and Agatha Martor were the goal scorers for the Ambassadors.

On the other hand, Just FC, who gained promotion to the LFA Upper Women’s Division last season are still finding it difficult to settle.

They have suffered three straight defeats in a row since the start of the season and sit at the bottom of the table, along with Blanco FC, who have also failed to grab a single point in three games since the start of the season.

Blanco suffered a 3-0 defeat to the reigning champions, Determine Girls FC, at the Tusa Field Sports Pitch in Gardnersville.

A brace from Gambian female defender, Ruggy Joff, and a goal from Jennie Tisdell, were enough for Determine Girls to collect all three points.

Blanco FC sit second to the bottom of the league log with zero points, while Determine Girls sit in 4th position, with 6 points and a game in hand.

Senior Female Professionals versus Ravia Angels at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Sports complex Practice Pitch on Saturday afternoon was a joyous scene for women football fans, as Senior Female Professionals defeated Ravia Angels 2-1 to grab their first win.

The party began as early as the 7th minute, when Annieta Tarpeh showed up to slot home the opener for her side.

Tarpeh doubled the lead for the home side in the 46th minute, with her brace ensuring Coach Thery Cole’s side collected all three points.

The defeat, however, was the first for Ravia Angels who started the league on a good footing by winning their first two league games.

Senior Female Professional have 5 points from 3 games and sit 6th on the log, while Ravia Angels sit in 5th place, with a point difference between the two sides.

Earth Angels FC continued their impressive run in the league as they defeated Bassa Girls 3-1 to remain unbeaten in their three league games this season.

At the Tusa Sports pitch, Shaita Angels Football Club picked an important victory to move atop the Upper Women’s league table with 7 points from 3 league games.

The club grabbed a comfortable 3-0 win over Soccer Ambassadors, with Miatta Morris scoring a brace, alongside a goal from Grace Keke.

Stages Queens recorded their second victory of the season with a 2-0 win over Real Muja. Janies Dunbar and Victoria Watkins were on target as Coach Berto Berto’s side maintained their 3rd position with 7 points from 3 league games.

As for Real Muja, they are still in search of their very first win of the season having lost one of their three games played so far.
