Jonathan Freeman Scores Third League Goal Of The Season

Newly Promoted Liberia Football Association Orange National League Second Division side, Discoveries Football Club’s Talisman, Jonathan Freeman, continued his fine scoring form with another goal for Discoveries FC against Nimba Football Club.

The young Liberian international striker registered his third league goal in his 4th game of the 2023/24 league season at the Tusa Field Sports Pitch.

The former Liberia under-15/17, now u20 national team striker, struck late in the second half of added time of the match to give his side a comfortable 3 -1 win over experienced Nimba Football Club on Saturday, September 30, 2023.

Discoveries FC win against Nimba FC is their second win of the campaign, following a win over Junior Pro and losses against Shaita Football Club and PAGS FC.

Freeman has clocked over 360 Minutes of league game time this season for the Legacy Boys.

DSA got promoted during the 2023 National Third Division Promotional Playoffs, when they won the trophy against Nimba County-based Mighty Enforcers Football Club.

The club’s promotion was hinged on the outstanding performance of youth players, including the likes of Johnathan Freeman, Saah Moses, Cephus Gebro, Daniel Kumeh, and other promising players.

The youth team won the playoffs trophy and other individual prizes, including the Best Goalkeeper, Top Scorer and Most Valuable Player awards, among others. Johnathan Freeman was the Top Scorer of the competition.
