Police Disrobes Officer Harding …Seeks Public Aide With Queen Johnson’s Arrest

The Liberia National Police disrobed the chief of Technical Services of the Public City Division, Ithmar Harding (187), for allegedly masterminding the absconding of Peaches Queen Johnson with immediate effect.
The LNP Spokesperson, Moses Carter, said there were several other responding officers involved that were sent to the Professional Standard Unit for investigation.
According to Carter, the Policemen, comprising of officers from the Anti-Robbery Unit and the Police Support Unit (PSU), allegedly aided in the escape of Peaches Queen Johnson, on the orders of a Senior Police Officer identified as Ithmar Harding, who is affectionately call 187.
On Friday, January 5, 2024, suspect Johnson was arrested by the now accused officers at the Red Lion Entertainment Center, at the junction of Center and Broad streets in Monrovia.
It can be recalled that the Liberia National Police launched a protracted period of arrest alert for Madam Johnson, regarding her alleged involvement in the death of Joshua Solomon, a die-hard supporter of the CDC.
Solomon died after sustaining severe wounds as a result of a brutal political tussle which took place between Unity Party and the Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) Partisans on August 11, 2023, in the buildup to the just concluded general elections in Liberia.
It’s alleged that Madam Johnson played a pivotal role in the flogging of Joshua Solomon, as he suffered internal bleeding for a period of three months, leading to his subsequent demise on December 1, 2023.
However, LNP Spokesperson, Moses Carter, asserted that the LNP’s quest to ensure that suspect Johnson faces Police interrogation remains unbending, urging Liberians to assist the Police in the arrest of Madam Johnson.
