The Judge of Criminal Court “A”, Roosevelt Willie, has sentenced to life imprisonment Aruna Jah for killing, son of OK FM Station Manager, Clarence Jackson.
Judge Willie, in his sentencing hearing on Tuesday, March 12, said the defendant committed the act based on malice, on grounds that the deceased insulted his mother.
The Judge added that the act of the defendant proves that he has no value for human life and that he committed the act purposely and intentionally against the deceased.
It can be recalled that on March 6, trial jurors at the Criminal Court “A” brought down a unanimous guilty verdict against defendant Jah for killing Allison Jackson.
The accident, according to the report, occurred on September 30, 2023, in the Unity Community in Brewerville City on the Bushrod Island.
Before his guilty verdict, defendant Jah pleaded with the court and jurors for mercy, admitting that he committed the act while under the influence of alcohol.
