The Managing Director of the National Port Authority, Sekou Dukuly is calling on the youth of Bomi County to go back home and contribute to the growth and development of their county.
Dukuly said there is nowhere like home and as such the county needs its residents both at home and abroad to return for the common good of the county’s development initiative.
He spoke on Sunday when he officially launched the Bomi County Sports Association as the team prepares for the 2024-2025 county meeting tournament in Tubmanburg, Bomi County.
The event was held at the C.H. Dewey Central High School and was marked by an enthusiastic crowd of supporters, well-wishers, and stakeholders.
Dukuly also underscored the importance of unity and commitment among all residents of Bomi County to ensure success in the upcoming National County Sports Meet.
“Bomi County citizens, our strength lies in our collective effort. I call on every resident to rally behind our teams and provide the support needed to bring victory to our county,” he urged.
Recently, the NPA boss was selected as Chairperson of the Subcommittee on Ways, Means, and Finance for the County Steering Committee for the 2024/25 National County Sports Meet of Bomi County.
Earlier, Dukuly met with a cross-section of youth and residents at the Moses Vincent Compound Hall in Tubmanburg where he emphasized that the wave of transformative power of education and professional development must be felt in the county.
“Education is the cornerstone of progress. If we are to make a lasting impact on the transformation of Bomi County, we must prioritize learning and skill-building,” he stated.
Meanwhile, the events held in Bomi County highlighted MD Dukuly’s commitment to fostering both the sporting and educational aspirations of the county, ensuring a brighter future for its citizens.
