Confusion is becoming the order of the day whenever the Council plans to sit in Sanniquellie City, Nimba County.
Representative Samuel Kogar serving as secretary general of the Nimba Legislative caucus explained how he was not informed officially about the June 23, 2022 schedule made by Senator Prince Y Johnson
According to Representative Kogar the schedule made by Senator Johnson and the county administration is a bogus schedule and that he will not attend the program.
But speaking on the same issue to a local radio station in the county, Representatives Derwane Glekele and Roger Domah explained that they along with other members of the caucus are aware of the program and therefore vowed to be present in Sanniquellie.
However, Representative Larry Younquoi said he is not in support of the council sitting scheduled for June 23, 2022.
According to Representative Younquoi, some past and present members of the PMC were supposed to be audited before the council sits therefore he will not be present at the meeting.
Since the pronouncement of the council sitting in the county, all 11 lawmakers from Nimba County have been at loggerheads.
The lawmaker are divided , according to report gather by this paper; though many are in support for the council sitting schedule June 23, 2022 in Sanniquellie , few are placing a unanimous condition which is the audit of PMC members before council sits in the county.
Since the pronouncement of the program , civil society group operating in Nimba has threatened lawsuit on the county administrations if the council sitting takes place in Sanniquellie.
The civil society groups are backing the lawmakers that are in support of audit of the PMC in the county.
Meanwhile; Senator Johnson said the council sitting will go on as planned and he will ask that the government assigns ERU Police to the meeting ground.
