Monrovia Breweries Donates Over US$30,000 Items To MoH

In an effort to end the spread of the coronavirus in of the country, the Monrovia Breweries Incorporated on yesterday donated several assorted non-food items to the Ministry of Health.
The items amounting to US$ 30, 000 included large and medium sized buckets, cartoons of clorox, rain boots, cartoons of Dettol and hand washing soap among others essential items.
Presenting the items on behalf of the company’s Board of Directors, the Human Resource Manager, Stephen G. Scott, said that, that was the Company’s way of assisting in ensuring that the country is safe from the virus.
According to Mr. Scott, the gesture was also fulfillment of the company’s Cooperate Social Responsibility stressing that the donation is not the first carried out by the company since the escalation in number the confirmed cases of the virus in the country, as it has been identifying with residents including the entire Bushrod Island Community ranging from the Borough of New Kru Town to Representative Dixon Sebo district as well as to other entities of government.
Mr. Scott then lauded the Minister of Health, Dr. Wilhelmina Jallah, the Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Francis Kateh, the acting Director General of the NPHIL, Dr. Mosoka Fallah as well as the healthcare workers and the entire population for their tireless effort exerted so far aimed at combating any delays of the virus in the country.
Receiving the items, Health Minister Jallah lauded the company for the items given to help in the fight against the virus adding that, the items came at the time when they are contemplating on reaching other counties to request aide in order to continue their precautionary measures.
Dr. Jallah noted that the donation will help other counties with the exception of Montserrado, Margibi, Nimba and Grand Kru Counties in the fight against the pandemic; indicating that this time, it requires the collective effort of every citizen.
She added that the virus knows no one irrespective of your size, status, educational, religious and family backgrounds or the political party one is affiliating with, averring that it can affect anybody like being witnessed around the world.
