LNP Sends To Court Several Alleged Criminals For Huge Burglary On Robertsfield Highway
The Liberia National Police has arrested, investigated, charged and subsequently forwarded several alleged notorious criminals to the Monrovia City Court for multiple crimes.
On July 14, 2019 at about 0800hrs, suspects Forkpah Kollie, alias “Force” and Mingle Johnson, alias “Meco” were arrested for their alleged involvement into an alleged burglary of two separate Stores located on the Robertsfield Highway belonging to victims Francis S. Hallie and Mohammed B. Jalloh.
Victim Francis S. Hallie, as a result of the alleged burglary, sustained the loss of Ten Thousand Liberian Dollars (10,000.00 LRD) and Nine Thousand, Three Hundred United States Dollars (9,300.00 USD) while Mohammed B. Jalloh also sustained the loss of unspecified amount of monies, rice, powder milk including other assorted dry goods. The suspects made their way into the stores using Oxygen tank which was used to cut the lower portion of the steel door, and damaged the silver safe.
The two victims in a separate complaints told Police investigators that on the dates mentioned above, Victim Francis was informed by one of his neighbors about the burglary at his store in which the two security guards that were protecting the place were lying unconscious in front of the Store.
Victim Mohammed B. Jalloh in a similar complaint, informed the Police that on Sunday, July 14, 2019, during the early morning hours, he was informed by his Land-lord identified as Mathew via Mobil phone about the burglary at his shop.
According to the security guard, during the commission of the alleged crimes, the suspects placed them under gun point, tied and drugged them with a drug believed to be Tramadol placed in Maringa Zero which led them unconscious.
Accordingly, their accomplices who are presently at-large usually impersonate as Military personnel in Military outfits while carrying out their criminal acts.
During full-scale investigation, the LNP has retrieved from the suspects the stolen items that were carried on board a Grey Toyota Sienna Sedan with license plate # A38439 those items were identified as part of the complainants stolen property after the commission of the crimes, military outfits.
Meanwhile, in view of the foregoing, coupled with the facts gathered and the retrieval of the items that were discovered in the vehicle including: rice, oxygen tank, fire cutting machine and Military Outfits including eyes witnesses accounts, the investigation has resolved to charge the defendants with the crimes Criminal Attempt to Commit Murder which is in violation of Chapter 10 Section 10.1, Criminal Conspiracy, Chapter 10 Section 10.4, Impersonating Officials, Chapter 12 Subchapter B, Section 12.35, Recklessly Endangering Another Person, Chapter 14 subchapter B, Section 14.23, Criminal Mischief, in violation of Chapter 15 subchapter A Section 15.5, Burglary, Chapter 15 subchapter B Section 15.20, Armed Robbery Chapter 15 subchapter C Section 15.32 and Theft of Property in violation of Chapter 15 Subchapter D Section 15.51 of the revised Penal Code of the Republic of Liberia. Wongbaye, Jeremiah, Jersey and others to be identified have been charged in absentia.
