LMA Superintendent Appeals For Loan In Nimba

By Solomon T. Gaye

Liberia Marketing Association Superintendent, Winifred Wowah, is appealing to President George Weah to provide loan for the marketers in Nimba County.

The LMA Superintendent made the appeal during an exclusive interview with a team of reporters in Ganta, Nimba County.

Wowah disclosed that the LMA Nimba branch has agreed to support the reelection of President George Weah in the pending Presidential and Representative Elections.

According to her, marketers in Nimba have been denied loans on several occasions, most notably in 2018.

Speaking on behalf of the LMA Ganta branch, Tennie Youh, the branch leader, thanked President George Weah for completing the general market building in Deakehmehn community, just outside Ganta, but also spoke on the limitations and work that still needs to be done.

“We the marketers in Ganta need help. Our market building lacks warehouse, and besides that, we need financial help that will strengthen LMA operation in the district,” Youh disclosed.

It remains to be seen if the cries and pleas of the marketers will be heard by the government, and if something will be done about their plight.

The vote-rich county, Nimba, contains nine electoral districts, with over 734 towns and 11 lawmakers.
