LISCR Sits On Top At LFA League

The Liberia Football Association (LFA) 1st division league is becoming a high speed competition for participating teams during this season.
Various teams continue to show strength as a means to protect a space that could be suitable at the end of the campaign with everyone hopeful of with the highest points.
Currently topping the campaign matchday II, is LISCR initiated by Sandi FC prior the ending last weekend fixtures.


The Shipping Boys and Oilers are ahead of their competitors with 6 points each and in second place accumulated from two matches played so far.
Both sides were the only two lucky ones to claim two consecutive wins while a difference of six goals put LISCR over LPRC Oiler who defeated Mighty Barrolle in her first league game.
Next on the table are teams that recorded one win and a draw after playing two games including the current champions Watanga that is sitting at the third place with four points like Bea Mountain and Nimba Kwado.
It is still a troubling time for the Kanyan Pepper boys of the Mighty Barrolle Sports Association as the team remains at a portion of the league table that could be classified as the underdog zone.
The current relegation zone of the table is being occupied by Freeport FC, the Church boys Jubilee FC and Muscat FC as the last three teams on the table with decimal performances showed so far directly under 13th place Barrolle.
Yet as many supporters of local sport believes that the national orange league is still at early stage to determine what could happen at the end of the full season, fans of bottom clubs are calling on players a team administrators to improve Liberian clubs to during the league season.
Michael Zayzay, a fan of the Cece United Club of the Saye Town Community revealed that the poor performance exhibited by players and teams during matches is attributed to the weakness of technicians and administrators at the various clubs.
According to him, football is a game of major investment in other parts of the world, but the case of Liberia is the total opposite to what he believes football is.
“We are not supportive of our own sporting environment in this country. Team administrators are very delinquent on the forward match of our clubs so in the end, players will not perform to the expectations,” he explained By S. Siapha Mulbah
