Juli Endee Honors Outgoing Ambassador

The Liberia Crusader for Peace (LCP) through its Executive Director, Juli Endee has bid farewell to the outgoing Swedish Ambassador, Ingrid Wetterqvist for her numerous roles played in maintaining the peace of Liberia.
Ambassador Endee presented her with a certificate disc carrying a song being sung in honor of her and a Liberian handmade bag among others.
Ambassador Wetterqvist was appointed to serve as Ambassador to Liberia on behalf of the people and government of Sweden in 2017 by the people and government of Sweden.
Speaking when she gowned the Swedish Ambassador at her headquarters in Monrovia, the LCP Executive Director, Juli Endee lauded her for her invaluable contributions and services to Liberia and its people.
She said Ambassador Wetterqvist’s service to the nation and its people will always be remembered, while at the same time encouraged her to continue serving humanity as a ‘goodwill ambassador’ for Liberia’s peace and development.
“We need you to continue your goodwill by leading the advocacy on the need to advance the role and empowerment of women in Liberia, infrastructure development, with keen attention on roads connectivity, completing the efforts of President Weah and his government,” Amb. Endee appealed.
The LCP head added, “As our burning desire, we will continue to promote peace, women rights and democracy as we remain in the fight against Gender-based violence, as well as sexual exploitation and abuse.”
“On this occasion, we want to thank you for your remarkable contributions and service to Liberians, especially in the areas of peace, security, women leadership, empowerment, development, and social justice for our people and country,” she averred.
In response, Ambassador Wetterqvist lauded the LCP head and her team for the recognition, something she described as unprecedented, adding, “I have never been recognized in such a way in my entire life, so I am so very happy for this surprise.”
Ambassador Wettervist then pledged her country’s unwavering support and commitment towards helping Liberia in making sure that the country’s peace and democracy are maintained and sustained.
Also in remark, the president of the Federation of Liberia Youth (FLY), Amos Williams expressed his gratitude on behalf of the country’s youths to the outgoing Ambassador and stated that she will forever remain in the heart of all Liberians.
