The Jonahsa Foundation has been voted by the Christ Ambassador Network as the best Non-profit organization in Liberia for its numerous contributions to humanity across the country.
Jonahsa Foundation is a non-profit organization based in Liberia with the sole purpose of giving back to society through grassroots Education and Agricultural programs among others.
However, the foundation’s recognition came days after it made some distribution of several school materials to students in Montserrado and other counties as part of its regular charity program.
Presenting the award to the organization over the weekend, the Christ Ambassador Network through its president, Rev. George F. Judges, and vice-president, Augustus Caine noted that their decision to award the Jonahsa Foundation is based on its many ventures in giving back as well as its outstanding gestures.
Rev. Judges, in his remark also stressed the need for other organizations and individuals to follow suit of the Jonahsa Foundation in catering to the needy especially during these trying times.
He named the Foundation’s Agricultural program, Primary education support program, and Elderly support program among other things as reasons behind the awarding of the Jonahsa Foundation as the best non-profit organization in the country.
“We are calling on donors and well-meaning individuals to help support Jonahsa Foundation in giving to the many underprivileged children of Liberia and we are also calling on national government to see the need and begin to buttress the effort of this organization as means of helping God’s people,” Rev. Judges maintained.
The president and Founder of the Jonahsa Foundation, Jonah Barcon thanked the Christ Ambassador Network family for the recognition of his Foundation as the best among many non-profit organizations in the country.
Speaking via phone from the United States of America (U.S.A), Mr. Barcon among other issues stated, “Our goal is to give back through the support of our partners in whom we believe.”
“So, recognizing our works today, we see it as more of a blessing than just an achievement, and if Liberia will be a better nation, investment in agriculture and primary education must be prioritized,” he emphasized.
Mr. Barcon then acknowledged the supports from donors to the Jonahsa Foundation as means to enable the organization achieve its goals, and described the recognition of the Christ Ambassador Network as a source of energy to do more.
