Greater Monrovia Lions Club Inducts New Leaders

The Greater Monrovia Lions Club has installed new officers to steer is affairs for the next one year.

Those inducted were Victoria Duncan, president; Bobby Livingstone, 1st vice president; Benedict Sannoh, 2nd vice president; Romell Giddings; 3 vice presidents’ Precious Bropleh, Secretary; Eric Cassell, Treasurer; William Cassell, Tamer; Jestina Zawolo; Tail Twister; Emmanuel Witherspoon; Project chairperson; Eva Reed, Membership Chairperson.


Following the swearing in, the newly inducted president of the Greater Monrovia Lions Club has assured members that her team is ready to work in order to make a successful year.
The program brought together members, past presidents and leaders of Lion Club across the county.


Speaking yesterday at the installation program held in Monrovia, Lion Victoria Gouma Duncan said the Club has been built on a strong leadership foundation, therefore they will carry out many worthwhile projects to benefit the community.


According to president Duncan, her membership Chairperson will work to ensure that the club has quality members that will be willing to serve humanity
‘’To be successful we need members and due-paying members to bring our dreams to reality, our welfare chairperson will also work closely with our members who
are not coming to Lions’ activities for whatever reasons,’’ president Lion Duncan expressed.


She maintained that Greater Monrovia Lions Club will be more visible to the Public Projects and Fundraiser, ‘’We will be implementing our projects and we will be
doing fund raising to be able to make it successful Club Training and Leadership,’’


‘’We will be doing leadership training together to enable all officers work smoothly Youth Programs. We will be working closely with Leons to implement Youth programs, club service and administration,’’ Lion Duncan emphasized
According to her, there are many needy people throughout communities and the world whose only hope will come from Lions.


“Let us all leave here ready to make their lives better in any way that we can. As Lions, it will not be good enough to give only what we have left over or what we can spare, but we must truly give of ourselves with new vigor in support of the ideals of Lionism,’’ president Duncun noted.


However, the outgoing president Lion Margaret C. Youboty said it has been an honor and a privilege to serve alongside such dedicated individuals, who share a common passion for service and making a positive impact on our communities.


‘’We have accomplished great things during this past year. We have worked tirelessly to support local causes, improve the lives of those in need, and create a better future for our beloved city,’ madam Youboty said.


She explained that the projects, both big and small, have touched the lives of countless individuals, bringing hope, joy, and relief when it was needed most, “through our vision and unwavering commitment, we have witnessed the transformation of our communities.”


She added, ‘’ We have seen the smiles on the faces of children we have helped educate, the gratitude of families we have supported during difficult times, and the sense of unity we have fostered among the people we serve.’’


She noted that each step they have taken together has been a testament to the power of compassion, collaboration, and selflessness.


Meanwhile, serving as keynote speaker, the Chief Judge of the Commercial Court of Liberia and past president of the Rotary Club of Liberia, Eva M. Morgan said giving with an open and generous heart allows the giver to practice renunciation.
