Don’t Confuse Movement With Progress

The Vice president for Administration at the Liberia Football Association (LFA) is calling on the James Jappa administration at the LPRC Oilers Sports Association (OSA) not to confuse movement with progress if they wish to help take OSA to a new level in sporting development.
Mr. Sekou Konneh made the call over the weekend during the induction ceremony of the James Jappa leadership at the headquarters of the OSA.
Mr. Konneh said, “First I’m pleased to extend thanks and appreciation to the OSA family for their continued support to the association’s football and basketball teams which has continued to keep the two teams among the best playing teams in both the LFA and the Liberia Basketball Association (LBA) national leagues but please, try not to confuse movement with progress because movement is totally far from progress.”
The LFA vice president for Administration further called on the OSA leadership to be passionate about what they wish to do for the regresses of their association and believes that such passion could only be successful if they fail not to confuse movement with progress.
Movement is totally far from progress and they should try their possible best not to strive to just make-living but to rather aspire to make difference that would help to keep OSA in both local and international football and basketball competitions.
The OSA officials inducted into office are the president, James Jappa; vice president, Rachel Baysah; Vincent, Secretary General S. Solomon Beah JR and Business Manager John K. Leabeh.
The association’s president Jappa paid tribute to OSA members for reelecting him and called on those that voted for him and those that didn’t vote for him to now put their differences behind and start to work hand in hand for the common growth and development of their association’s football and basketball teams.
Jappa vowed that members of his administration will learn from their past mistakes with the hope of listening to the calls of every employee of the OSA family so that they all will be able to help strengthen the growth of the association.
Jappa added, “I’m pleased to say thank you to all of us who have come to make this day a reality for the common growth of OSA family members and I want us to now put aside our individual differences and hold our hands together as officials and employees of the LPRC Oilers family so that we will be able to help better position our football and basketball teams among the best playing teams in both the LFA and the LBA national leagues.
