Commerce Inspectors, Jungle Water Group Clash In Ganta – One wounded

An inspection team from the Ministry of Commerce on March 29, 2022 allegedly went into a fist fight with workers of the Jungle Water Group of Investment thereby wounding one person in Ganta city, Nimba County.
Report gathered by this paper revealed that inspector Alphanso Miamen was in conversation with the Jungle Water Manager when Commerce workers identified as Billy K. Flehn, Lawrence Wogbeh immediately ordered the workers to get out so that they can lock the company’s main entrance, a situation which led to a fist fight and wounding one of the workers of the company.
When this paper contacted Jungle Water Group of Investment, it confirmed the incident and said that the case was before the Police for investigation.
The workers added that the Ministry of Commerce arrived at the business center and ordered the workers out to enable them shut down the business center for hiking the price of 25kg bag of rice.
According to the workers, the alleged tussle to force the door close on the workers at the business center left one of the workers wounded.
When this paper contacted the MOC sub office in Ganta, the Regional Commerce Inspector for Nimba, Bong and Lofa Counties, Gonpue Monniah refused on grounds that he is not clothed with the authority to speak to the press.
The LNP in Ganta confirmed that the MOC inspection team did clash with Jungle Water Group of Investment workers and that one person was injured while forcing the workers to get out of the company’s building.
