The Cameroon Association in Liberia (CAL) is appealing to the government through the Ministry of Labour and Immigration to facilitate the process of obtaining work and residence permits that will validate the labour status of potential Cameroonians who are opting to contribute to Liberia’s economic development.
Making the appeal on Saturday May 21, 2022 during CAL’s commemoration of the 50th National Unification Day of the Republic of Cameroon, the Association revealed that there are plans to procure a parcel of land for the establishment of a multi business complex that will create opportunities for the people of Liberia.
Meanwhile, the Cameroon National Unification Day which is observed every year on May 20, was celebrated by CAL with its partners and friends in Liberia beginning with a grand parade in the principal streets on Monrovia.
The parade started from Afriland First Bank on Crown Hill and ended at Afriland First Bank sub branch in the Fiamah Community.
Addressing the media, the president of the Cameroon Association, Ekerum William, expressed the Association’s gratitude to the government and peace loving people of Liberia for their cordial reception irrespective of diversity.
Mr. Ekerum William who serves in Liberia as a nurse practitioner called on Cameroonians residing in Liberia to further invest in Liberia’s developmental agenda.
Ekerum also used the occasion to showcase the tremendous assistance and effort made by Saarl Insurance company (one of the best insurance companies in the country), Afriland First Bank (the very trusted and reliable bank services one can ever deal with), Hysaa Incorporated (the sanitation company always ready and available to solve problems of waste management), Global Express Voyage (best informed gaslight agency), Merveille Plus Pharmacy (procuring most pharmaceutical products necessary) and Bamba Incorporated (known for all metal related works).
He also thanked all individuals who assisted them for this occasion to be a success and the Embassy of Cameroon through the Ambassador for always responding to the calls of the Association.
He finally expressed thanks and appreciation to partner organizations and institutions for observing Unification Day of the Republic of Cameroon.
