Boakai Applauds Ghana’s Democratic Success

President Joseph Boakai has extended warm congratulations to Ghana’s President-elect, John Dramani Mahama, lauding his victory as a resounding testament to the strength of democracy in the West African region.
Over the weekend, in a statement on behalf of the Government and people of Liberia, President Boakai celebrated Ghana’s unwavering commitment to peaceful political transitions and praised its citizens for demonstrating unparalleled dedication to democratic ideals through their robust participation in the electoral process.
“Your election is a powerful testament to the confidence the people of Ghana have in your leadership and vision for a brighter future,” President Boakai remarked; “Liberia stands ready to partner with you in fostering peace, prosperity, and regional integration, as we collectively work toward a more unified and thriving West Africa.”
President Boakai emphasized the strong historical and diplomatic ties between Liberia and Ghana, expressing confidence in President-elect Mahama’s ability to elevate Ghana’s development trajectory while reinforcing the longstanding bonds between the two nations.
Boakai further reaffirmed Liberia’s commitment to collaborating with Ghana on critical regional and global issues, particularly through the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) and other international platforms.
President Boakai extended Liberia’s warmest wishes for continued progress, stability, and development as Ghana embarks on a new chapter under the leadership of President-Elect Mahama.
