By Bill W. Cooper
This paper has reliably learnt that the autopsy results of Albert Peters, Gifty Lama, George B. Fanbutu and Emmanuel B. Nyeswa who died mysteriously, sometimes last month are expected to be compiled and submitted anytime this week.
According to an insider who preferred anonymity said that the results of the four auditors’ autopsies were expected to be compiled and submitted within 14 days, but could not be possible due to the fact that some samples of the four auditors were sent out of the country for further examination due to the sensitive nature of autopsies conducted.
Our source added that the results of the samples that were sent out of the country for further examination have now been submitted to the pathologists, which are expected to be compiled and submitted this week.
Recently, Liberia’s pathologists Dr. Benedict Kolee and Dr. Zobon Kpadeh were called by the government of Liberia to perform a post mortem examination on the remains of the four auditors who died mysteriously in the country.
Upon the completion of the post mortem examination, Dr. Kolee and Dr. Zobon assured Liberians through the media that the post mortem examination results of the four auditors were expected to be compiled and submitted within the period of 14 days though it never happened and that the 14 days period has elapsed.
Both Dr. Benedict Kolee and Dr. Zobon Kpadeh in separate words urged family members and other concerned Liberians to be calm as they will ensure that the results are compiled within the stipulated timeframe given.
According to them, they are not working for the government of Liberia or in favor of the deceased or perpetrator(s) but that they are working in the interest of the country and that the autopsies are all on a pro-bono basis contrary to speculations of being compromised.
They added, “We are professionals and independent technicians and not politicians. We want to assure the public that we will do a full autopsy ranging from the head to the toes on the four bodies in order for us to gather the scientific evidence for the public to see and know the actual causes of their deaths.”
Dr. Kolee and Dr. Kpadeh further called on the general public to remain calm and have confidence in the process, while promising to carry on free, fair and transparent autopsies that will subsequently lead to the prosecution of the would-be perpetrator(s).
It can be recalled that two former employees of the Liberia Revenue Authority (LRA) identified as Gifty Lama and Albert Peters were both found dead in a car up Broad Street in Monrovia. Within few days, another senior LRA staff reportedly died in an unexplained car crash on the Tubman Boulevard Road last month.
Following the mysterious deaths of the three former LRA employees, the Internal Audit Agency (IAA) boss, Emmanuel B. Nyeswa also mysteriously died in his compound on the Tubman Boulevard Road which brought the total number of deaths of key government officials from the Weah-led Administration to four within less than two weeks.
