Progressively Sailing Through As Determine Girl Wins Game 2

Determine Girls have again sailed through a comfortable victory to solidify their anticipation at the upcoming Confederation of African Football (CAF), women’s champion league.
The girls in their match day two fixture of the West Africa Football Union (WAFU) Zone ‘A’ qualifiers defeated Malian Women league champions AS Mande 3-1 at the Southern Arena Stadium in Bo City, Sierra Leone.
Winning on this score line reciprocated the current tournament table placing the Liberian side atop with six points which takes them two points clear above AS Mande that is in the second slot.
Determine Girls secured their second straight win on Monday in with a brace from Catherine Jatta and a finish by Bintou Sylla to get the job done.
The Liberian women team stakeholders came through with smiling face when Jatta registered her name on the score sheet in 29 minutes of play but before the end of the first half, Bintou Sylla came with an additional goal at the 40th minute.
After recess, the forceful attention of AS Mande was concentrated on pulling back the goals scored why Determine Girls were also interested in maintaining dominance and securing the top slot.
At the 67th minute, Jotta again found the back of the net making Determine Girls the highest scoring team currently in the ongoing campaign.
At the completion of her brace, AS Mande responded with a late lone goal that was insufficient to overturn the results.
The Liberian representatives have played two out of their five games and in on top performance to make another regional representation at the continental women competition for Zone ‘A’ at the West African Football Union.
They have scored five goals and conceded two with a difference of three goals. In the last two fixtures to conclude the qualification process they will meet Sierra Leonean women champions Mogbwemo Queens on August 8, 2024 at the same venue. Their final match will be on the following Sunday August 11, 2024.
