AMP Terminal Liberia Limited has donated 1,000 bags of 25 kilograms of rice to the National Youth Taskforce of the Ministry of Youth and Sports during the weekend in Monrovia.
George Adjei, Managing Director of the Terminal said it is the AMP’s Corporate Social Responsibility to always identify with a national cause.
He stated among many things that they were happy in their effort to join the fight in the prevention against the spread of the coronavirus in the country, a sickness that has devastated both human lives and economies globally.
Adjei recounted how the Terminal is partnering with the National Port Authority (NPA) which is the cornerstone of Liberia’s economy for the flow of supply chain and noted that preventive measures have been taken against COVID-19 not only for the protection of their employees but other communities including Electoral District #13 in Montserrado County.
In response, Youth and Sports Minister Zoegar Wilson thanked the Terminal for the gesture and praised APM for the numerous supports it continues to give not only to the National Youth Taskforce but the National Sports Meets amongst programmes nationally.
Also speaking, the Chairperson of the National Youth Taskforce and President of the Liberian National Student Union (LINSU), Mohammed Gandhi Kamara said the National Youth Taskforce is a composition of youths and students nationally that are in the fight against COVID-19.
