Captain Jonathan Freeman Console’s Gbarpolu For Draw To Lofa

After a far-away draw to Lofa County in the opening of the national County Sports Meet, Gbarpolu County football team captain Jonathan Freeman has acknowledge kicking off the competition with an unfavorable result for the people of Gbarpolu.
In a post-match social media publication on his official fan page on Facebook, Jonathan Freeman noted that the kickoff of the nation’s most watched and celebrated competition was just a match to set a guide for the qualifiers process which he is hopeful to progressing.
According to him, the game played and the team presented what it could but the result was not what they expected to get after battling a fulltime fixture against the Boys from the Wologizi Mountain.
He said as the competition continues, his team under his watch as captain have committed to doing their very best to make sure that the county they represent books a ticket to the quarterfinal round that will take place in Monrovia.
The notable young football player extended appreciation to his fans, supporters and families despite the result encouraging them to keep up the support to the county team as a way of increasing motivation for the remaining games in the group stage.
“Yesterday, I captained Gbarpolu County Team against Lofa County, and the Match Drew One All. Though it was not the result that we wanted but we got a point after a hard fought 90″ minutes of the game. We move on to the next game as we anticipate qualifying Gbarpolu county team to the next stage of the tournament,” he said.
With such message from the lad, all fans are now interested in Gbarpolu County’s success in the competition and to see that the their team moves back to Greenville City this midweek to raise momentum for teams from the Belle Forest in western Liberia as they lock horns with the host of Group C.
As it stands from the log after the first set of matches, the group leaders Sinoe are atop of their zone after winning Rivercess 2-0 to collect their first three points. On the Wednesday, Lofa will take on Rivercess to climax the midweek happening in Sinoe.
