Some aggrieved personnel of the Pilot Security which provides services for the WBHO-SC in Yekepa have filed a law suit against the Firm and its CEO, Abraham Kromah in Nimba County.
Speaking on behalf of the aggrieved officers, Sam Dahn said many of the officers assigned at WBHO-SC have been dismissed by CEO Kromah without pay.
According to Dahn, CEO Kromah has allegedly refused to pay the officers’ salaries and has even dismissed 35 of them with immediate effect.
The aggrieved officers revealed that they have been providing security services for WBHO-SC in Yekepa without being pay by the security firm for over six months.
“The workers of WBHO-SC are paid on time and at the end of every month but the Pilot Security CEO will wait after three months before he releases one month of our salary,” the aggrieved security officers disclosed.
The aggrieved officers accused CEO Kromah of using his political influence with the government so as not to pay his officers.
During the normal routine at the administrative building in Sanniquellie, a group of the Pilot Security personnel were seen gathered at the compound and was in serious discussion after leaving the Ministry of Labour.
When this paper contacted the MOL office in Sanniquellie, the Deputy Commissioner Sam Weh confirmed the refusal of the firm to pay officers’ salary and alluded it to bad labor practice couple with the illegal dismissal of officers without regard for the rule of law.
Our reporter went in search of CEO Kromah to get his side but to no avail and even via mobile phone through text messages but there has been no response from him up to press time.
