GCC Building Is Falling In Bong

Workers of Gbarnga City Cooperation has disclosed that their lives are in danger as the building turns death traps in the county.

Speaking on behalf of workers in Gbarnga over the weekend, John Forkpah, said four corners of the building is cracking, the roof is leaking and the entire zinc is completely damaged.

According to many of the workers, the delay in the appointment of a mayor to the GCC hampered its smooth operation adding, “We are all afraid of the degenerating condition of the entire building.”

When contacted, Alex D. Mulbah Sr. the acting City Mayor confirmed that delay in the appointment of mayor to the Cooperation couple with the deplorable condition of the building is worrisome.

According to acting Mayor Mulbah, the delay in the appointment of mayor is contributing to the overflow of garbage on the street and communities in Gbarnga City adding, “Aside from the Cooperation’s leaking building, the GCC trucks and tricycles are all down due to mechanical faults, no salary to pay the workers, among other issues,” Mayor Mulbah disclosed.

“The cooperation is constrain with garbage collection, L$ 4, 000 is paid for every trip a commercial vehicles make for every garbage it carries to the dumpsite,” he revealed.
