The sanctions and bans placed on Liberian clubs for not meeting up with the Liberia Football Association minimum requirement seem to be mere bluff as nearly all clubs on the list have played one or more matches without any update.
Clubs including the Sunshine yellow Boys Invincible Eleven, the Gold Boys from Bea Mountain, Jubilee FC, Heaven Eleven, Nimba United, Cece United Sandi, FC and many others should not have been allowed to participate in the new league campaign till they meet up with obligations to the LFA.
The Association’s First Instance Board Chaired by Cole Bangalu reported Clubs for being in violation of rules set up by the FA are reportedly not being punished after a statement was made ahead of the new league season.
The Liberia Football Association after presenting to the public a decision that could have thought a lesson to all new and old clubs became perpetually silent without actions to back its August 23, 2022 decision of placing ban and or sanctions on several of the Clubs in the national league at all levels.
A long list of clubs, announced by Cole Bangalu to be out of the just started league season due to their failure to present relevant documents to the FA, have all begun their campaigns despite sanctions and fines placed on them.
According to the of the First Instant Board of the Liberia football Association, all fines placed over team’s deadline for payments were set for August 25, plus an additional ten days to enable thee clubs complete the submission of document and other documents that certified them for the new campaign.
Since the statement was made in a major press conference at the Liberia Football Association, there had been no update on the status of obligated clubs regarding their compliance efforts while the same teams are now battling teams that are in compliance with the LFA regulations for their respective titles.
