Several passionate supporters of Orando Zarwolo, a long-time advocate of the Unity Party, have appealed to Senator Prince Moye and President Joseph Boakai, to appoint Zarwolo to a key position in the government.
Zarwolo, who contested in Bong Electoral District 3 in the 2023 elections, remains unemployed despite his dedication and loyal support to the ruling Unity Party since 2017.
The Gbarnga businessman turned politician ran on the Unity Party ticket, garnered 8,254 votes in the 2023 elections, and finished second to Representative Melvin Cole.
His supporters argue that his unwavering commitment to the party deserves recognition, and they are hopeful that Senator Moye, a prominent figure within the party, along with President Boakai, will honor their plea and create space for Zarwolo in the current administration.
As a dedicated member of the Unity Party, Zawolo’s supporters emphasize his efforts in championing the party’s ideals and his consistent contribution to its success.
Brooks Bonokollie, the Secretary General of the Friends of Zarwolo told the media that their political leader has stood by the party through thick and thin, with a call that his loyalty and contributions to the party’s progress should not go unnoticed.
Moreover, Bonokollie explained that they are simply asking that the party recognize Mr. Zarwolo and appoint him to a position where he can continue serving the people.
According to Brooks Bonokollie, Zawolo’s supporters remain optimistic that Senator Moye, as a key member of the Unity Party, and President Boakai will consider their plea and create an opportunity for Zarwolo to continue his service to the party and the nation.
He expressed growing frustration and confusion over the delay in Orando K. Zarwolo’s recommendation, despite his years of service and dedication to the people of District 3.
He further described Zarwolo as someone whose passion for service and leadership emerged early in his life.
Additionally, he said Zarwolo sought an education that would equip him with the skills to influence positive change in his country, particularly within the realms of public service and governance.
He pursued a degree in Public Administration and Management at Cuttington University, one of Liberia’s premier educational institutions.
Cuttington University, known for its academic rigor and commitment to producing leaders in various sectors, provided the perfect foundation for Zarwolo’s future in public service.
During his studies, Zarwolo gained a deep understanding of how effective public administration can drive national development, improve governance, and promote the welfare of citizens.
His time at Cuttington University shaped his values and honed his leadership abilities, preparing him for the challenges of public service.
As a political leader, his focus on efficient public administration, transparency, and citizen engagement has made him a respected figure in Bong County.
Zawolo’s commitment to improving the lives of Liberians and advancing public service remains an inspiring legacy for future generations of public servants in Liberia.
