What Kill Tracy Weefor Flomo?

The lifeless body of a young woman was found along the Congo town back road in Monrovia on the morning of August 10. Initial information gathered from individuals claiming to be friends and neighbors of the victim has identified the deceased as Mrs. Tracy Weefor Flomo.

The police have launched an investigation into mystery surrounding her death.

However, Sources said she fled her home in Grand Gedeh to seek refuge in Monrovia after series of harassment and threats from unidentified group of men upon her father’s death.

According to the sources, her late father, Mr. Clarence Weefor Sr., who passed in 2018, belonged to a secret organization known as the “ZOE Cult” which held significant influence within the community.

This secret society which is traditionally passed down from father to son across generations, had remained predominantly male-oriented in its practices. As a result, Mr. Weefor designated his elder son Tobias Weefor as his heir.

However, at the time of his death (Mr. Clarence Weefor Sr.), his successor Tobias had moved to Japan to pursue better opportunities, leaving behind his younger siblings Clarence Weefor Jr. and Tracy Weefor Flomo, the deceased.

The account added that due to their father’s purported commitments to the “ZOE Cult” the cult members insisted that Clarence Jr. carry forward his father’s role since his elder brother had traveled abroad.

Conquered by fear of retribution, Clarence Jr. agreed to engage with the cult and attended its meeting held midnight in the forest. However, after that horrifying encounter, he fled the impending initiation into the cult.

The sources narrated further that this marked the beginning of Tracy nightmares as she soon faced series of abuses, threats and torturous experiences from the cultists in an apparent attempt to coerce information about her brother’s whereabouts.

The cult members are adamant that since Clarence has acquired knowledge about their cult, he must join, willing or not; so, they applied more pressure on Tracy since they believe that she known where her brother was hiding.

In 2019 when she could no longer bear the threats, harassment and torture from the cultists, she fled to Ghana, seeking refuge and safety from her tormentors.

After spending some years in Ghana and thinking the situation is okay now, she returned to Liberia few months ago. Unfortunately, her homecoming only exacerbated the suffering, as the cult became persistent harassment as soon as they learned that she had returned.

Tracy’s friends and neighbors have attributed her tragic demise to the regular torture of the secretive “ZOE Cult”, which sheds light on the challenges faced by individuals like Tracy; who are dealing with the frightening activities of such organizations.

Cries for justice echo within the communities as they pray that the police investigate thoroughly to unveil the actual cause of her untimely death and if anybody is responsible to be punished accordingly.
