President George M. Weah is urging Lofians to support Moses Kollie’s senatorial bid in order to continue development for them.
Moses Kollie served as head of the Aviation Authority at the Roberts International Airport following the resignation of Emmanuel Nuquaye but had to resign due to his quest to contest the legislative seat in these elections.
He was also a Representative for Lofa County in the 53rd Legislature when President Weah was Senator and was appointed Minister of Labor following his defeat to secure his seat in the 2017 election.
But while on his campaign tour to Lofa, the ruling party political leader bragged that he is a talk-and-do President and he will change Liberia because he is committed to it, adding that the Unity Party’s generation cannot be like theirs because there is a great difference between his six years and their 12 years.
The Chief Executive expressed confidence in the Liberian people that these elections will be won by the CDC government through them noting, “We have passion for everything we do, we are working people and will do more for you if reelected.”
President Weah also encouraged the young people to vote him because this is their time and moment and they should use the opportunity.
He maintained that Liberians should reelect him so he can continue his developmental activities across Liberia.
In a brief statement, the CDC senatorial candidate, Moses Kollie, stressed that the people of Lofa have now seen the light of development and will support those who believe in development.
“This is not about County Meet where if you are from a specific county you must support it, but this time around, we are in for total development,” he assured.
He hailed President Weah for the development of their roads and the ongoing road construction across Liberia.
The rally started with a rousing welcome from the people of Lofa County at the Bong-Lofa border in the first Town, Beyan Town.
Meanwhile, the spokesperson for some first time voters in Salayea District, Patrick Vesselee, described the Unity Party as a ‘Resting Team’ and not Rescue Team.
Vesselee, who spoke to a huge gathering of Lofians at a CDC Political Rally in Salayea, said the Unity Party Standard Bearer, Joseph Boakai served twelve years as Vice president and made no impact in Lofa County.
The first time voters’ spokesperson named the pavement of several roads, including Gbarnga to Menekomah road, Ganta to Sanniquellie road, construction of several hospitals and schools across Liberia, among others, as reasons why the CDC-led government deserves a second term.
The young Lofian also named the free tuition policy at all public universities and colleges in the country, payment of 12 graders’ WASSCE fees, and employment of two thousand five hundred teachers and two thousand health workers, as evidence of President Weah’s love for Liberians.
