President George M. Weah has again donated 75 cows to the Muslim communities through the Minister of Internal Affairs, Varney K. Sirleaf.
Addressing the press yesterday, Minister Sirleaf said it has been a great thing that President Weah has once again put smiles on the faces of Liberian Muslims who are fasting.
He stated that the President being a religiously-tolerant leader is aware that Muslims should not be without food, especially on the Eid celebration, so he went further by demonstrating his immeasurable level of admiration and appreciation to all Muslims for successfully climaxing the Holy Month of Ramadan.
Minister Sirleaf added that Liberian Muslims are expected to join the rest of the world during the course of this week to climax a long fasting and praying for themselves, the country and the nation.
“My fellow Muslims, in the last five years of President Weah’s administration, he has always remembered that Muslims are integral part of the Liberian society, he has always identified with us whenever his attention is needed, each year since 2018 and now he has provided significant financial and food support to us throughout the 15 counties in Liberia” he said.
Internal Affairs boss continued that President Weah has been sending their less fortunate in the society to the Holy Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for Hajj, noting, “Indeed Mr. President, you have kept your promises that all Liberian citizens under your leadership will be treated equally.”
Meanwhile, he extended a heart full of appreciation to President Weah for his numerous supports over the years to the Islamic Community of Liberia through his office.
“Muslims are reminded by Allah in the Holy Qur’an that we should be kind to people who are kind to us; hence, we want to wish you well Mr. President by asking Allah, the Almighty to grant your heart desire, and may he continue to favor you throughout the days of your life” he said.
It can be recalled that President Weah recently donated soup kinds worth LD 5 million and 5,000 bags of rice to the Muslim communities in all of the 15 counties.
