The Vice President’s convoy on Saturday, August 31, 2019, was involved in a fatal collision with a taxi at the 15th Gate intersection on the Monrovia, Kakata Highway. According to information, there were serious injuries and fatalities.
The injured were evacuated to the John F. Kennedy Hospital in Monrovia for further treatment, eye witnesses narrated.
Report from 15-Gate Junction Kakata Highway indicated that one of the Vice President’s vehicles collided with a commercial taxi leaving no survivor in the taxi and also led to the death of District number-one, Kpaai District, Gatayea Town son in person of one Palm Male.
Eye witnesses expressed remorse for those that met their untimely demise on Saturday while en route to their respective homes.
Meanwhile, the Office of the Vice President of the Republic of Liberia has expressed its deepest regrets over the incident and extends condolences to the families of the deceased while prayers are being offered for the speedy recovery of those injured.
