“urn Over Officer Gaye For Impeding Judicial Function” -Traffic Court Requests Police

The Police Inspector General, Gregory Coleman, has been notified to turn Supt. Fred Gaye over to the Traffic Court to answer to the Contempt Charge levied against him at the Temple of Justice.
Judge Karsor Zubah’s writ of arrest on Gaye, the Chief of Traffic (Unit 188) of the Liberia National Police (LNP), is for allegedly disrespecting the court orders.
The Writ issued yesterday, March 19, stated, “You are hereby commanded to arrest the living body Fred M. Gaye, Chief of Traffic of the Liberia National Police, Defendant, and bring him forthwith before the Monrovia Traffic Court, Temple of Justice Building, Montserrado County, to answer to the charges of Contempt of Court based upon the oath and complaint of the Republic of Liberia by and through Republic of Liberia Plaintiff, in which it is substantially alleged.”
The court assets that defendant Gaye in consistent disregard, impeded the functions of the Judiciary by willfully, purposely, and ignorantly failing to adhere to the orders of the court.”
The Traffic Court Judge, Zubah, stressed that the defendant must appear to show cause why he cannot be held in contempt of court.
The writ furthered that the alleged act of the defendant being unlawful, wicked, and illegal, and in violation of the Vehicle and Traffic Laws of Liberia, there and then crime(s) herein, the defendant did do and commit.
“Contrary to the form force and effect to the statutory law of Liberia in such cases made and provided for against the peace and dignity of the Republic; and in so doing, this shall constitute your legal and sufficient authority,” the writ noted
