Titus Smith Moves To Jubilee FC …Bids Farewell To New Horizon Football Academy

The Church Boys of Jubilee FC have captured the signature of youngster, Titus Smith. The creative midfielder joined the Orange National League-2nd Division club, Jubilee FC, from Margibi County Third Division Club, New Horizon Football Academy.

Smith penned a three-year deal with the Church Boys. The former captain of the LFA-Margibi Sub-association Third Division New Horizon Football Academy, Titus Smith, penned a contract which runs until 2026.

Smith won domestic league football with the Cotton Tree-Based club, New Horizon Football Academy, where he helped the club gain qualification to three National Third Division Regional and Promotional Playoffs in Margibi, Grand Bassa, and Montserrado Counties.

The young working and energetic midfielder Smith will ever be remembered in the mind of SUSA fans in Margibi County, as he once scored the lone goal in a decisive league game to end the former back-to-back champions’ two-season unbeaten run at the Unification Sports pitch in Smell No taste, Lower Margibi County.

Joshua Kimmich, as he is affectionately called by fans, will be hoping to start the new chapter in his football journey in the second top tier league of domestic league football, the Orange National League-2nd Division, for his new employer Jubilee FC, on Sunday, September 10, at the SKD Sports Pitch in Paynesville, against Nimba United FC, to mark his debut in the competition.

In a farewell message to his former club, Titus expressed gratitude to the leadership of the club for the opportunities presented to him over the years he played for New Horizon.

“My greatest appreciation goes to Mr. Marbue Richards for bringing me up in football from my childhood days. He is not just football father to me but an inspirational person in my life and I must appreciate him for everything he did for me. Also to my coach, Wattala Hne Moore, I want to appreciate you for the knowledge and understanding you put in me while under your umbrella as a player from childhood,” he said.

He concluded by saying, “But for now, I’m taking on a new Journey to the 2nd Division League. Today I say goodbye to Horizon, but I take with me many memories, lessons, and great moments that will live with me forever. It has been the best years of my football career. Jubilee FC my new home.”
