Tarlue Development Foundation Launches Emmanuel Tarlue Vocational Training Institute

The Tarlue Development foundation has launched its five (5) months vocation program, name and style Emmanuel Tarlue Vocation Training Institute (TVTI).
The Vocation Training Institute which is expected to transform the livelihood of the residents of District 1 Marigibi County, is a non-profitable skill training and intensive five months hands on program that is intended to provide the requisite lives changing skills in several vocational courses.
The school was established based on the survey conducted in District 1 Margibi County which unearth that closed to 90 % of the residents are living without vocation education that which triggered the Tarlue Development Foundation to move in swiftly by constructing the school.
As you may be aware, vocational education is designed to prepare individuals for specific occupations by providing them with the necessary skills and knowledge for the workforce in society.
Speaking at the launch of the school, the Chief Executive Officer of the institution, Emmanuel Tarlue said the launch of the school marks a very significant milestone for the District and County at large.
According to him, the action demonstrates love and commitment for the vision to be achieved by launching of the school and hosting its first orientation for the district and its people.
When we stated this ambitious project many people doubted, but I stand here today with many of the voices reminiscing in my ears,’’ are you sure you will make it’’ these words motivated me the most.
I have always seen challenges and difficulties as a motivation, because what other people see as impossible is what I see as possible.
He used the launched program to quote Africa first female President Madam Ellen Johnson Sirleaf ‘’ if your dream does not scared you it means your dream is not big enough.’’
Hon. Tarlue described the gathering as a true definition of handwork and commitment, discipline and above all love for the people.
He disclosed that the Tarlue Development Foundation is not asking what the people of Margibi County can do for him, but rather he is asking what he can do for the precious people of Margibi.
Honorable Emmanuel Tarlue noted that with the limited resources he has, he has invested the amount of over US$3000, 00, with the cost of running the institute per circle is US$650.00.
The institute will run two circles per year with the cost of over US$1.3 million each year.
In the next four years, the institute will train at least 6,000 residents of District 1 Margibi County and its surrounding districts.
We from this institute believe that vocational education will empower both young women and young men with the requisites training for the improvement of the livelihood.
At the same time, the CEO of the Tarlue Development Foundation, Emmanuel Tarlue has announced the provision of micro loan for its graduates.
The free Vocational Training Institute will also provide micro loan opportunities for all the graduates on a very low interest rate to enable those individuals start business with the skills acquired over the time spent in the school.
To foster this vision, we have introduced a compulsory entrepreneurship in our training curriculum with the specific goals of teaching the students on how to utilize the skills acquired at the end of this program.
My passion and desire for Margibi County and to be particular District 1 is to see people empower and to have a decent life to live because the residents of this district deserve better vocational education.
In remarks, Liberia Ambassador Designate to the Arab Republic Egypt, Amb. Henry B. Fahnbulleh praised the CEO for the transformational steps taken to change the living conductions of the residents.
According Ambassador Fahnbulleh, not all individuals are born to obtain college education, but with vocational education you are ready for the job markets because with degree or without degrees, with the requisite skills there can be quick impacts in society.
He disclosed that on a regular basis, universities and colleges across Liberia are graduating students in several disciplines but the job market is limited to employ all due to limited resources that are available.
He cautioned the students to be more focused and committed to the training process because the entire world is no longer in search of only degrees holder instead people with vocational skills are of added advantage for industrial attraction .
For her part, Former Secretary General of the Liberia Business Association and chief launcher of the TVTI, Madam Leelai Kpukuyou, described Emmanuel Tarlue as a patriotic son of Margibi County District 1 and thanked him for the inspirational initiative to transform the resident’s life. Madam Kpukuyou encouraged the students’ community to make use of the available opportunities brought to their door steps.
