“Take Risk With Imagination” …Jetty Tells Graduates

The founder president of the Jetty Trading Corporation, Upjit Singh Sachdeva, has urged the 146 graduates of the African Methodist Episcopal Zion University (AMEZU) to take risks in order to achieve their goals.
Speaking at the 30th commencement convocation of the AMEZU on its main campus in Vincent Town, Po River, Bomi County, the Indian humanitarian based in Liberia said risk-taking is not just because someone wants to do so, but that it must be backed by imagination.
Crowning his success on being a risk-taker, Jetty explained how he had an imagination of becoming a business tycoon, and he took the risk to implement his dream, adding, “Your intelligence and your education give you unique status and responsibilities.”
“It is imagination that will set many of you here apart because it is the greatest gift of mankind, so do not disregard it and behave like many who do not exercise it at all,” Jetty admonished.
The keynote speaker explained that if he had not taken risk, he would have ended up doing what was not his passion, adding, “To become successful, you inevitably have to take a risk.”
“If you are afraid of taking risk because of fear of failure, you will fail no matter what the circumstances, because failure is inevitable and it is impossible to live without failing even if you live cautiously,” he explained.
Jetty added that risk also makes one to emerge wiser and stronger and allows someone to be truly satisfied following one’s heart and doing what is loved to be done.
According to him, we all have goals and have fears, but how one handles those fears will determine how quickly he or she reaches his or her goals.
“Not every risk ends up with success especially when it is not successful, learn from the mistakes made, and take the necessary remedial actions through your next moves,” he advised.
“You will never truly know yourself and the strength of your ability, until you take risk, because such knowledge is a true gift that is painfully gained, but worth the experience,” he said.
The founder of Jetty cautioned the graduates to remember that the people they admire today for their successes took risk to get to where they are, adding,“ Do not be afraid to be fearless risk- takers.”
