Supreme Court Opens Today

The Supreme Court of Liberia is expected to resume legal business today, Monday 13, 2023 as provided for by Chapter 2, Section 2.5 of the Judiciary Law of Liberia.

The law states: “The Supreme Court shall hold two terms annually, commencing on the Second Monday of October and the Second Monday of March and continuing as long as the business before the court may require.”

It further states: “They shall be known as the October and March Terms respectively.”

President George Weah, along with several officials of Government and members of the Diplomatic Corps are expected to grace Monday’s opening of the Supreme Court at the Temple of Justice.
