Strategic Committee To Unveil
Julius Kanubah For PUL Presidency

A Strategic Committee comprising members and stakeholders of the Press Union of Liberia is expected to officially announce Mr. Julius Kanubah as a ‘consensus candidate’ for the Union’s presidency on Wednesday, September 7, 2022.

The ceremony to unveil Mr. Kanubah’s bid will be held at the A.M. Kyne Collegiate Resource Center at the William V.S. Tubman High School campus on 12th Street, Monrovia beginning at 1 o’clock.
The PUL goes to its 2022 Congress in November which would be occasioned by elections of new corps of officers to take over from the Charles Coffey leadership.
The Committee’s Spokesperson, Romeo Togba of ECOWAS Radio said the journalist’s union urgently needs a new direction of constructiveness and development to address the manifest gaps of credibility, integrity and dignity confronting the current leadership of the PUL.
Mr. Kanubah is a highly acclaimed Liberian journalist and respected as one of the brilliant, unwavering, towering, and topnotch journalists of his generation.
Mr. Julius Kanubah is a two-time award-winning journalist of the Press Union of Liberia, with nearly two decades of professional work and education in journalism, media, and communication, but also economics, development and governance.
Meanwhile, journalists, media workers, institutional members of the Press Union of Liberia, civil society actors, and public sector practitioners interested in the PUL leadership conversations as well as desirous of a change of the old guard at the PUL for the betterment of the Union and its members are invited.
