Sinoe Educational Officers end dialogue

The Education Officers Council of Sinoe County has ended a one day retreat at the Butaw Elementary Junior and Senior High School in an effort to improve the county’s school system.
In an exclusive interview with newsman over the weekend, the Chairperson of the Council, Joe C. Jarwleh, revealed that the one day retreat was on matters relative to the Sinoe School System.
The Butaw District Education Officer furthered, “Issues discussed include but not limited to; the revision of the EOs Council drifted Constitution and By Laws, the lack of Mobility for DEOs in the County and insufficiency of logistical support among others.” The one day retreat brought together seven of the nine DEOs in the county.
Meanwhile, the Sinoe’s Peace Ambassador, Rev. Jarwleh said the exercise also talked about place volunteer teachers on the Ministry of Education’s Payroll; a request made recently to the Minister of Education during his visit to the County.
Jarwleh, a candidate hopeful in the upcoming legislative election, used the forum to appreciate the Ministry of Education for providing vehicles for all County Education Officers across Liberia and encouraged the government to do more. By T. Patrick Wiah/Sinoe
