Sen. Johnson To Withdraw Support From President Weah? …Consults Spiritual Leader In Nigeria Soon

By Alex Yomah
Nimba County Senator, Prince Johnson, has expressed displeasure in the workings of President George Weah, who he has always supported in any national elections since 2017.
Senator Johnson addressing his Church congregation on Sunday, August 3, threatened to withdraw his support from President Weah if he failed do what is best for those who elected him.
He announced that he will shortly travel back to Nigeria, to seek pieces of advice from Pastor T.B Joshua, where he and the Liberian leader got anointed before pledging his political support that landed him to the presidency.
According to Senator Johnson, President Weah has over the time changed his behavior and is longer moving with those that helped to elect him.
PYJ said there is an adage in in Liberia that says, “Show me your friend and I will know who you are rather President Weah is no longer the friend I knew as he has been set aside from those who elected him.”
“Mr. President, you are not with those you used to be with. I am going back to Nigeria to seek advice whether I will continue my support with you or not,” he said.
The Nimba County lawmaker said the very people that were praying for him (President Weah) not to be President are the ones he is dancing and dinning with.
He then admonished the Liberian leader to stop witnessing Chelsea and Barcelona games to focus on reading the bible.
Sen. Johnson said with the challenges confronting President Weah’s Government he needs to get on his knees to worship God in search for a direction.
He said is time that President George changes, adding, “If we use to drink or womanize, let us leave it because some of the women are demonic.”
He said Montserrado County combined bi-elections was a classic example that President Weah is getting unpopular with his people.
According to him, during the 2017 election, during his visit into the West Point Community to campaign when he was also contesting the presidency, he spoke against President Weah and because of his utterances, after his interaction with the residents; he was chased out by some young people.
He explained that at first, he thought they were following him for money but when he stopped, the guys nearly hit him while raining insults at him only because according to them he insulted their President who was then Senator.
According to Sen. Johnson, what is more disgusting is that some months ago, scores of zinc houses got burned and the President built modern houses noting, “Today, those people who he built the houses for are the ones voting against him.”
