Sen. Findley Wants Better Coordination Between Gov’t Branches

By B. Linus Flomo
Grand Bassa County Senator Gbehzohngar Milton Findley has called for proper and closer coordination and cooperation between the three branches of government in Liberia.
The senator made the statement during the opening of the May term of court at the Second Judiciary Circuit Court in Buchanan on Monday May 13, 2024.
Addressing a room filled with legal professionals and other government officials, Senator Findley emphasized the need for coordination between the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial branches of government.
He argued that a stronger partnership among these branches would lead to increased efficiency, transparency, and accountability in the governance of the country.
The Bassa Legislative Caucus Chairperson highlighted the importance of each branch of government in ensuring a well-functioning democracy.
He stressed that instead of operating as independent entities, the branches should work hand in hand to address the pressing issues facing Liberia.
By sharing resources, expertise, and information, the branches can better serve the interests of the people and promote good governance, he added.
It remains to be seen how this call for closer coordination between the branches of government will be received by other politicians and whether it will translate into tangible actions.
